This weaving appeared in the Currents exhibition at the Schack Art Center in Everett, Washington. Upon seeing the piece, Curator-in-Charge of the Smithsonian's Renwick Museum Michael Monroe sent Wenceslao a Pablo Neruda poem:

If each day falls inside each night, there exists a well where clarity is imprisoned.

We need to sit on the rim of the well of darkness and fish for fallen light with patience.

Designed, woven, and dyed by Wenceslao Martinez.

Hand Spun, hand dyed Oaxacan Churro wool, aniline, natural cream, grey, tan, and black.
